Tom Cruise may be one crazy weird dude, and his chances of winning an Oscar of any sort aren't too great, but I am rarely not entertained by a Tom Cruise movie. (I haven't seen them all)
It will probably be silly and ridiculous in parts, but this looks like it could be good.
I find it interesting that Shyamalan didn't attach his name to the trailer. He always does that.
DIstributors worried his name has been sullied by his recent abominations? If they're so worried, why sign him?
I think he is a very talented director, just not very good at writing movies. While he has a co-writing credit here, someone else did the screenplay so maybe there's hope for this one.

Considering it is written and directed by the guy who directed Tron Legacy, expect it to be 20 minutes too long and boring as fata. Might have some cool actions sequences though.

I think Zach Snyder's track record can speak for itself, along with a few producers/writers from the latest Batman trilogy.. I will be surprised, dare I say shocked, if this movie isn't epic.
