Yeah we couldn't possibly want anyone like that on our team. Not someone who would be foolish enough to play for years for Harvard while earning a degree from the most prestigious school in the world.

Except he was much worse, production wise, before being paired with Lucic. I’m not calling Lucic a catalyst, he isn’t.
But the need to blame Lucic and Sutter for Huberdeau’s lack of production makes no sense to me.
I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I’m starting to line for the one or two posters who would blame Gaudreau after every loss, pointing out how badly he was outplayed by the other side’s best players. 10 seems to have been spared that treatment for now.

I'm still waiting on Daniel Carcillo to weigh in, he has been silent for too long about what is wrong with hockey.

He isn’t signing here anyway.

Coronato could make the decision to finish his education at the most prestigious University in North America and get his pick of 32 teams to sign with (many who will put him right into the lineup) or he could sign here where it appears the coach wants players to spend years in the minors before they get a shot. Play in the AHL for the next 2 years or play in the NCAA?
He can also easily force his way out like Fox did if he wants to sign sooner but not here.
I am not saying he will do any of this but when attending Harvard the player has more leverage as staying and completing that degree is not a terrible consolation to pick any team you want to sign with when it is over

They should have Conroy take the news conferences.

Eh. I’m skeptical on if Coronato will sign, but we can’t call him Fox just yet until we know for certain he won’t sign

Just want to make it very clear that while I did very much say this site skews older, which I do think it does, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that — it just offers some different perspectives than other places. I was just trying to compare and contrast the demographics (and the corresponding opinions) between this place and other places, not say which is better.

Not a banner day.
I may need a break from this place.

I feel EXACTLY the same way about Sutter’s quote and said it earlier.
But if it’s any consolation Bingo, the stupidest comments are pretty much the same 3 or 4 posters who keep repeating the same thing over and over again. It’s an indictment of your own words if you can’t express your POV and let it stand on its own. And instead resort to bombarding anyone forced to listen to endless repetition.

I’d argue that Huberdeau has started figuring out his game with the Flames and Lucic was the beneficiary rather than the other way around. I think that if we had a more scoring oriented player paired with Kadri and Huberdeau, that they’d be even better.

I just gave ya a bit of a tease on another post before seeing this one. Sorry if that contributes to I'll feelings.
This place is a great microcosm of the outside world. Things are getting more polarized and people becoming less reserved while "disagreeing" every day. I find myself reading 1 in 4 comments at most in these pgts, and in general life have just had to take less offense to pretty much everything lately.
Anyways, yesterday not a great day in this thread... but it's just hockey. It's just a forum. Who honestly gives a #### what supermatt (or anyone else anonymously here) thinks at end of day about an industry or a job. It does suck that some people here are known people and thus their reputations are more attached than others. But that's outside of your control.
For guys like scorp, he'll have to have thick skin for life to follow his career path so I'm sure he can handle some dirty jabs.
I liked that other fellows thread about separating the emotion from team following in sports the other day.

If he puts getting a degree as a priority over money then absolutely.
If he has his hockey career as his first priority but stays in school and delays his money years by two seasons to avoid a big meany coach though?
Can't see it.

Sutter’s press conferences are utter waste of time for everyone including Sutter himself. I’d rather see Maclean or Muller go out there and bring some actual analysis of the game.

Hey I agree, I propose trading him pretty much every week. I just don't think we should be making the argument a prospect wouldn't strongly consider playing four years of Hockey at Harvard.

Man it would be interesting if we could get all the real fans, you know the young ones ... to flip and spend all day on social media hammering the youth and criticizing Sutter for not playing the veterans enough to see if Sutter would reverse his spite and do the opposite again!

Yeah I don't get this old vs young fan thing one bit. Reddit skews very young and people there are even less upset about it than they are here
