Bought one through FIDO. Just waiting for a day off to go pick it up. Hopefully it comes unlocked.

I just saw one from a buddy who got one. This is a huge phone. Does anyone know if this is as big as the S3 or even bigger?

The S3 is slightly bigger.

Take a look here:

Yup, the S3 is slightly bigger. First thing I did when I had mine was compare it to my buddies S3. I was surprised since it doesn't look that big, but is just under it.

The sleekness of it.. Such a pretty phone.

So how's everyone been enjoying their Nexus phones?

I've been playing around with a lot of customizations, like with minimalistic text and such. Seems like everyday I find something new with this phone.

I recent re-installed tablet talk, so my text messages can be answered and read on my Nexus 7 tablet. Seems a lot smoother, compared to when I was syncing between my HTC and the Nexus 7.

I'm really growing into the size and form factor, haven't customized it much or loaded much, but works great for what I use it for. Battery life has evened out that I'm ok with it, still playing with the brightness to find the lowest I can use and still like it, screen is by far my biggest battery consumer.

For those with a Nexus 7 that seems to be dead, just had to do this to mine:

Thought I was going to have to RMA it.

The form factor is great. I went back to try my nexus s or held an iPhone in my hand and they felt like toys. With 4.2.2 Google improved the area you had to touch to go back in the top left. So instead if just hitting back in your texts you now can hit back and the entire name. Ditto for emails etc. That improved some of the thumb reaching issues I had.

Loving the phone though, not surprising. It's a shame I put a cover on it cause it's beautiful too. The camera isn't too great, maybe average but battery life hasn't been an issue, I've always been good with battery management.

Love it.

On the previous page I posted some screen shots of custom home pages, using the minimalistic text app. You may have seen how the bar code indicator was a bit "fat."

Here is a video showing how to get the "slim" version of it.

And here is what my home screen looks like now:

The font can be downloaded from here: http://www.dafont.com/c39hrp24dhtt.font

Probably gonna play with it a bit more. Change the background and stuff. But the battery indicator looks a lot nicer, using the slim barcode font.

Ok, here we go.

Changed the orientation to bottom / middle, to bring the battery barcode lower, and changed the weather icon to the Batman (Dark Knight) theme (Beautiful weather widget).

I'm still not confident enough to use a custom loader. So the icons at the bottom and Google search bar stay for now.

If people were looking for the bumper cases, they're in stock from Google again.

A little pricey for me. By the time you price in shipping, it's around $80.

I only have to plug my Nexus 4 in once a day...when I'm sleeping.

If it comes down in price I'll probably get one. Looks cool.

Yeah, I'm not getting one either, a little pricey with shipping factored in. I'd like one for my desk cause it's neat but like you I'm just plugging it in on average between 1.5 times a day, not needed.

It's cool though. If it was around 40 I'd pick one up just cause.

So when are they actually going to start releasing accessories for my Nexus 10? I love, love, love this tablet, but am mildly annoyed at not being able to buy any goodies for it.

Aaahhhh! I'm really ticked off at myself right now.

Earlier today I placed my Nexus 4 down (back side down) on my bathroom counter. As I went to pick it up I could hear this scrapping sound. Flip over the phone: scratch (maybe crack) going from side to side, width wise, along the glass. I have no idea what caused it. Looking at my counter and feeling with my fingers...no idea. Was weird.

Anyway, just bugs me that I have this scratch/crack now. I'll take a pic later and post it.

I stopped using the bumper because I thought I was careful enough. Who knew?

Anyone know of any places in Calgary that can replace or repair the back glass?

Temperature difference? The phone was warm, the counter cold and the phone cooled too fast? If it's a crack that is...

It's not an LTE phone, it will work with Rogers though. It's HSPDA+
