that's what i've been feeling, it's gone from a tongue in cheek spy show to a relationship drama. all the forced issues between Chuck and Sara are getting old
The first episode was great, the last two not so much. But it's more obvious to me then ever how much the limited budget really does limit this show. I'll still tune in every week, but this always will be the little show on a little budget, against most odds.
I agree with the budget concerns, I just don't think they have any money to do anything anymore. Too bad, NBC bust have blown their wad making "The Event" which is unfortunate, because that show is worse than a steaming pile of hot garbage.
after watching that last painful episode, i think Chuck has officially jumped the shark. that had to be the worst plot line of any single episode i've ever seen of this series, and now even Morgan's story is going to be nothing but a relationship drama. next week they'll probably have Jeffster finding "the one"
the season premiere had such promise, sucks to see it completely go to waste
I remember reading somewhere that a bunch of the good writers left the show after NBC took so long to pick up the 4th season. Can't find the article that had this info but it might explain the weak episodes this season.
I watched Mondays episode and I was like meh, then I was like ugh, then I totally tried to look down the chicks shirt, then I said, this show is dragging itself over the finish line.
Its pretty sad when the only guy thats carrying his weight is Adam Baldwin, and Sarah's bikini.
Other then that one of the shows that I looked forward to is boring the hell out of me.

They've lost almost every talented writer, the main one Being Ali Adler. Who I don't blame for leaving, considering Chuck barely got a third season.
I'll still support the show and watch it, just tough to watch it die like this.
I thought this was one of the best episodes since the premiere. No forced Chuck/Sarah drama, the perfect amount of Jeffster and great chemistry between Gomez and Baldwin!
The promo for next weeks episode looks amazing by the way, if anyone else got to see it.

I agree, once they tossed out the melodrama, this was a stronger episode.
Adam Baldwin is probably the strongest player on this show this year, mainly because he's always played the tough awkward guy so well.
We need a Animal Mother moment in Chuck before the show ends.
I think I said at the end of last year that Linda Hamilton (Chuck's Mommy) would not be on the side of the angels, and Chuck is going to try to turn her)
Overall a great episode.

The good news continues for chuck after last nights kick ass episode.
Nbc has ordered an extra 11 episodes of chuck to bump it up to a full 24.
Even though it's been a slightly weak season, it really makes me happy to watch this underdog show get a full order. For a show that had to fight just to get a 3rd season

Also very good news for Chuck probably for sure getting syndicated now, as it will have produced 78 episodes at the end of this season. It makes me happy to at least know they can tell almost all the stories we need to, and we will be able to get some closure on these characters I've become pretty attached too.
So now that they've ordered the back 11 episodes after only airing 5, you think we'll get any knowledge of a season 5 early on? Hopefully they renew this for a 5th season early, instead of waiting until the last minute like always.
For the promo for the first 13 episodes, it had Sarah and Frost meeting, so the back 11 should have Chuck and his mom together, hopefully kicking ass to take down Volcoff.
Oh my effing god. I can't believe they got Freddy Krueger. Pants = ruined. Not only did they bring in Robert Englund but they had crazy hallucination drugs to go with him to make him scary and effed up.
