I got my groomsment silver money clips with their names engraved on it, not the date. They all seemed to appreciate it. 1 of them thought they had lost it the night before my wedding. Turns out he only lost his wallet, passport and all his cash... idiot.
I got one for myself as well. As another poster mentioned, i'd recommend getting one of whatever for yourself.
When I was at the Chapters store getting the Fleury autobiography the guy 2 spots ahead of me was getting copies of the book for his groomsmen autographed. I asked if they were Flames fans... he laughed and said no but I am... It was a very odd gift for groomsmen. I'd personally hate to be a groomsman of a Canuck fan and have him give me some Canuck crap. I couldn't even fake being happy about the gift.
