Now I have to call you a rookie.
Its a lick of salt, a shot of Jose, and a bite of lemon.
But Tequilla should be drank from a bottle without the salt and lime.

... or maybe it was something else?
I know its tequilla. Salt, lemon, shot of tequilla. Not salt, shot of Jose, lemon.
Then again, I've only done it twice. Once, I vowed never to do it again, but then I forgot and did it a year later. I won't be doing it a 3rd time thats for sure.
Nope, I'm pretty sure most people do the lime after they've taken the tequila shooter. It certainly isn't going to remove the aftertaste if you do it beforehand.
Going to have to agree with Looger. Lot's of tasty tequila's out there, you just have to find the right one (usually expensive though.) My hard liquor of choice now is to sip a good Tequila. Obviously some people think I'm crazy when they see/hear of me doing that.

Try Chartreuse... it sounds femmy, if I remember correctly, it's kinda pricey, but it makes Tequila, Jack, Sambuca all taste like kool aid. If you can down back to back shots of that without run-to-the-can-gag-syndrome you belong in a very elite club.

Try the Toro.
Grasshopper, a shot of white and dark Bacardi, lime and half a shot of tequila. My buddy was a Chem major in uni and concocted this thing that, despite it's ingredients, tastes like a beer with lime in it, surprisingly enough. I was even fed these at my wedding....
The first to pass out received the honour of being serenaded with a Toro dance (similar to a Mexican hat dance).

I'm allergic to alcohol, it makes me say I love you man to strangers, feel lightheaded and happy and on occasion feel like crap the next day. I think only the irish and russians are not allergic to alcohol.
Allergic as in bowl-over dead, liver's done after 1 drink allergic.

No need to waste time mixing anything. Just give him some Slivovica.

Nope the real way to do it is to snort the salt, drink the shot and then squirt the lemon in your eye. I've heard that called the Mike's Hard Core Lemonade.

Another old favorite was the lazy eyed psycho. I think it was Sambuca, Creme de menthe, and grande marnier, and you float a whole cranberry in it. It gets a bit tricky drinking them without gagging on the cranberry, and makes for an interesting surprise the next day.

Nope. Although I'm convinced my body doesn't process beer the same way everybody else does. Get bad effects from a few pints. And I've always been more of a puker than anybody else I know. End result? I'm not the world's biggest drinker. But I certainly do enjoy having a few drinks and there's a time and a place to get hammered every once in a while. But with the hangovers I get, I don't make it as common of an occurence as a lot of people around my age.
