I am so happy that Toronto FC was a success, they have a rabid fan base (lots of international people living in Toronto contribute to this). Hopefully the Whitecaps can come in to MLS and succeed as well. I'm pretty stoked for the future potential of soccer in NA. Seems like the potential to get over that hump , which was so prevalent only a couple years ago, is now in sight.

Hopefully, the Impact eventually find their way into the MLS as well.

Soccer made in Germany was like the first program that showed soccer every week. They showed a ton of Bayern Munich so became a fan of theirs. Then when they started showing Premier league games it was always Man U.

Now we have Toronto FC and soon the Whitecaps again.

Yes it was. It was sooooooooooooo long ago. Ayr was actually in the top division at the time. I had to look it up to check the score. All I remember was the place was going nuts all game long. And they were playing unbelievably and they won 3-2. 1974 and it was like the the only Cup game they won LOL.

Don't know but it is probably right up there alltime for Ayr United highlights.

My campus gym doubles as the training ground for Brighton & Hove Albion. Their squad trains there daily (except match days) and they are generally a friendly bunch. You get to know a few of the older guys and next thing you are getting complimentary tickets to matches. It is League 1 after all and these guys tend not to have massive ego problems. Brighton's GK is this big, black Dutch guy who used to be in the Korps Mariniers which is the Dutch Marine Corps. Top-class guy.
