Alphabetical Poster Name = Alphabetical Survivor Name?

Basically we order ourselves by name, organize the Survivors by name, and match them up. I'm A, so I'll go with the Survivor who's (last, first?) name starts with A, or failing that, B, etc.

This would save us having to draft, and would be as random as I can imagine (did anyone here choose their poster name thinking about Survivor Palau in advance? I hope not...)

If it's random, I don't see the point of a pool to start with.

To give you a reason to watch. Since the 'winnings' haven't been discussed, I'm assuming its a Gentlemen's bet... so I wouldn't spend too much time handicapping them.

Plus we won't know anything about them before the show starts, so how drawn to any of them could you possibly be? Won't they be picked before the show even starts?

It isn't difficult to go to the website and take a look at the bio's, the fun of the pool is in trying to guess who might come out the winner before it starts.

If you take the guessing element out of it, then you are taking away the entire competition. Granted, its not like this is a high stakes wager or anything, but its a competition nontheless.

I'd love to put a little on it, but with the anonimity of the board, it makes it difficult.

I say, yes, Gentlemans bet, but if the winner HAPPENS to meet with fellow members of the board, that member owes the winner a beer.

I'm also going to put up a little website to summarize the draft as well, but that is when I have time.

I love survivor, and I hope this makes it a little more fun. Gonna be a little difficult for me to take part in the activities once I am overseas though (April 28th)
