I did a *lot* of research, read several hundred reviews, and drove almost everything. We ended up buy a 2009 Mazda CX-9.
You'll have a hard time finding any negative press and it has won many awards.
Love the way it drives. It feels like a much smaller car, but can still seat 7. Most reviews comment that it feels like a much more expensive car. It does not drive like a truck.
Its a consumer guide best buy.
