I admit about a year ago I went to his website fairly regularly to check in on the celeb gossip. But his schtick quickly got old and he went from mildly amusing to completely crass and over-the-top with his insults and diva behaviour.

Count me in the group that's excited to see his 15 minutes is finally expiring.

First, the thing that boggles my mind...this dude is a blogger...he's not an actor, or a musician, or even a real writer. He makes his living pointing out cellulite and drawing semen spots and penises on people's pictures using mspaint This is the same crap I did in grade 7 on science textbooks. Why is this guy so important?

Secondly, if you're going to talk crap about people hiding from behind a computer screen...you need to be able to answer to what you write and held accountable to it. Especially if you plan on mingling and associating with the very people you're writing about. idiot.

Finally, why does he think he deserves special assistance after being punched in the face? If you want to act like a celebrity and want special protection hire a body guard. Don't go telling people to jam the lines at the police station like it's a radio contest so that the policeman can kiss your boo boo better.

I haven't voted. I don't know much about Perez Hilton (other than he looks like a buddy of mine), I've never been to his site, nor do I really care what he has to say about celebrities.

Did he deserve to be punched? I don't know. I understand the argument that he didn't throw a punch therefore no. However I think that verbal abuse can trigger a warranted physical response. As John Mayer apparently said, according to an above post, "I also want to train you in an old martial art called 'Never Call A Black Dude a fa**** Jitsu.' " Generally a good rule of thumb.

I could understand if he ran his mouth online, but was graceful in person, while slimey, doing his job could be argued as an excuse. I'm not going to argue warrant of physical reaction one way or the other on that scenario. However, don't be a little princess online, then trash someone to their face and expect no reaction because you're a sudo-celebrity.

Did Perez Hilton deserve it? Possibly, if not probably. Can I say for sure? No. Why, because I don't give two flying fracks about Perez Hilton so I don't know enough about him.

That said, who the hell gets assulted and twitters for help? It's litterally less effort to dail 9-1-1. If you have enough sense to twitter an emergency but not actually ask the authorities for it, then I say nominate that fellow for a Darwin Award!

Again, deserve it? Dunno. Sympathy from me? None.
