As stupid as the false claim about rape was... why do you think it's ok to publically declare them "*hores" and then proceed to wish them death?
They were dumb, drunk "pretty girls" who though they could get away with anything they wanted. They redeemed themselves by confessing -- though I do think the allegations need to be punished anyways.
But your attitude is, quite frankly, disgusting.

They redeemed themselves by confessing? That's the most ridculous thing I've ever heard. Gee, I'm sure glad those girls redeemed themselves by admitting they lied about something that would have ruined someone's life, only after video evidence came out that proved nothing happened.

They confessed because they knew they were busted.
Hopefully this guy wins his court case and these pretty girls have to pay a bundle.
If I'm their parents, I'm pretty ashamed and angry right now.

It's crap like this which is why part of me is nervous to be teaching high school next year. It's so easy for a doe-eyed teenage girl to ruin someone's life.
We actually spent a day in my EDFX class talking about stuff like this. Our prof advised us male students to always keep the door open if you're speaking with a female student after class, and its also good to try and have a "witness" on-hand as well, if possible.

Perhaps I used the wrong word:
Quote:
According to a police report filed on the incident, one of the young women contacted police the next morning to say they were very sorry for the trouble she and her friends caused and that they would not be pursuing any charges.
|
Yes, that does demonstrate some civility and cognizance of what they did (for at least one of them). They are still people. They are not *hores, nor do they deserve death wishes or half the amount of bitter pent up angst displayed in this thread.

I think the reason why it is so upsetting is that it is an area where men are very vulnerable. This is an extreme example but, women useing the law as a weapon against a man isn't that uncommon. Most of us older members could think of multiple times when a relationship has ended accompanied with accusations of physical and emotional abuse. As often as it is found to be true it is found to be false. I've know a woman who accuse her ex of child abuse in order to gain all important initial custody of their children. It worked perfectly.

I'm pretty sure it would have held up. Slander is no laughing matter, especially when you make accusations about rape.

For the record, those girls are whores. And I didn't hear anything about them confessing to this, just saying they didn't want to pursue the matter further.

Cops are probably too busy giving out tickets to people doing 110 in a 100 to be solving real crimes.

Someone just commented on this but seriously. "They redeemed themselves by confessing"??? Are you kidding me, if I was accused of rape, do you think everything would be all better for me just by them saying "Oh I am sorry"? In his case, he would have lost his job, probably marriage, dignity, etc. And a "sorry" would rectify all of this?
I hope he gets every penny he is suing them for, and they get jail time.
Pathetic how they weren't charged because of insufficient evidence, when he has tape of himself in the car not doing anything wrong, and tape of them outside saying "this guy tried to molest us". How is that not evidence enough to charge them? Brutal.

So why didn't they publish the whores names? I mean if they aren't going to charge them at least let the public know which bitches will be accusing them of molestation if they piss them off.

I'd have to fault the cabbie as well here. He knew what he was getting himself into when he picked up the girls at BP's.

So he knew that they were going to try and ruin his life? This does not make any sense at all...................are you saying the cab driver should not pick up women from the bar??

I think he was making reference to the thread a while back about teenage prostitutes working out of an Edmonton BP's or something along those lines.
