I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.

I'll try posting this here since it doesnt need another thread.

I am having furnace problems. We have a separate furnace for the basement and it sounds like something is binding in the motor. It tries to kick on, make a noise, a cross between a grind and a squel and then shuts off. The motor is much hotter to the touch than the motor in the other furnace.

Can anyone here recommend a company in the NW that you have had good experience with? I live in Ranchlands. Let me know if I can post anything else to help diagnose the problem.

^ sounds to me like the inner bearings on the motor are shot. to confirm, take the drive belt off (make sure the furnace power is off) and then spin the squirrel cage, and then the pulley on the motor. if you hear any noise/binding from the motor, you should replace it.

you should be able to get a replacement motor cheap and install it yourself (pretty easy). ive pm'd you a couple of links.

if you can get the motor off, there is a place on ogden (alberta starter and generator) that rebuilds them, i think. crappy tire may even have em.

Thats sweet. A real mark of a company is how they handle their mistakes. Their stock went up in my books.
