I always stock up on RB's. Usually get my QB in the fourth or fifth round. On the flip side I am always struggling at the WR position.

Ditto.

It was kind of interesting, we made this pool a keeper this year (just 3 keepers, at least one each side of the ball; we'll see how it works), so a defensive player actually went 30th overall.

The first year I was in this league, there were 16 teams and there were 2 starting QBs. That was pretty harsh, especially during bye weeks.

I noticed a lot of the owners on here don't play in leagues with defensive players. How come? It makes the game more exciting and challenging. I wish that Yahoo had O-lines as well.

I like defensive players, but the other players in my league "don't like change"...aka they are just scared of adding a new dimension to which they know nothing about.

So I'm in a league which was supposed to have 10 people, but I just got back from Mexico yesterday, on our draft day, and realized I messed up sending the link to a bunch of em, so now there's only 4 people in my league. Haha check out this roster(obviously we're all stacked):

QB: Tom Brady, Carson Palmer
RB: Joseph Addai, Marion Barber, Clinton Portis
WR: Larry Fitzgerald, Marques Colston, TJ Houshmandzadeh, Calvin Johnson, Laveranues Coles
TE: Kellen Winslow, Chris Cooley
K: Adam Vinatieri
DEF: San Diego, Jacksonville

^ wow that is a loaded team for sure.

Auto draft was 50-50 for me. It screwed me in the CP fantasy league but it was gold for me in another annual friends league I'm in.

I'm still shocked by how decent my team is with auto-draft.....anyone have an idea of what Tony Gonzalez's trade value would be? Having picked up Heath Miller, I'd like to see what I could get for Mr. Gonzalez.

Did my 2nd draft last night. 10 guys. (start 1QB, 3WR, 2RB, 2 Flex, 1 TE/D/K). Prety happy with the way the draft turned out. Was picking 2nd OA in a snake draft.

QB - Palmer, Cutler, Warner
RB - Peterson, MJ Drew, Ricky Williams,C. Taylor, Ray Rice
WR - TJ Housh, Roy Williams, Cotchery, Vincent Jackson, Sidney Rice
TE - Cooley
K - Longwell
Def - Indy, Buffalo

Stacked at QB, talented but a little thin in the backfield. Keep your eye on the waiver wire and for a sleeper or two. KC's Hightower is a nice sleeper you can probably pick up.

Did you draft first or second to get Peterson?

There are only a handfull of good fantasy TE's in the NFL. I drafted Gonzalez before I drafted a reciever (I was going to pick Witten but he went with the pick before). In my league you get 1 point per reception. So a TE like Gonzalez is very valuable. I would hold on to him for a bit to see what happens. If you have an owner who is dying for a quality TE? Then you have a chance to make a deal. Or if somebody is stacked at QB (I think that is what your looking for), offer him Gonzalez for his backup QB (that is assuming that he already doesn't have Witten, Winslow, or Cooley).

Is Hightower really a good sleeper? I've got Felix Jones as I see him getting some receptions....and I get 1 point per reception.

And I'll hang onto Gonzo, since you are a KC fan and know what his production should be like, alot more than I know at least.

Personally, i don't think Gonzo is an elite TE anymore simply because he is going to need to block longer than he did when he was THE stud TE.

That was the case last season as well. He had 99 receptions for 1172 yards and 5 TD's.

I think I'm the opposite actually. I love the RB's I've got. Peterson and Drew are going to be studs. I think Ricky is going to take over in Miami (even though they're brutal) and Ray Rice could be solid is McGahee is still dinged up. Covering Peterson with Taylor could payoff as well.

I dont like the QB's I've got. Palmer I think will slide back a bit this year. Cincy's running game is not good and Ocho Cinco has the torn shoulder and wont be nearly as good. Cutler could be a star, but needs to take that next step to be a top 8 QB. Warner is the wildcard.

I think Edge is still going to be the guy in Arizona. And I will never draft anyone from KC. They are just BRUTAL.

BBB I drafted 2nd to get Peterson.

Bowe was a great option as a third WR last season.

True. I just see him as having been passed by some other up and coming TEs
Gates 75/984/9
Whitten 96/1145/11
Winslow 82/1106/5

But them my leagues don't give points for receptions, so that may be why I don't have him in my personal top 3.

I used to be high on Todd Heap, but his injuries have killed me a couple seasons. I did will with Bubba Franks when he was the guy Favre would invariably throw to from inside the 10.

There was time when it was Gonzo then a big gap in production to the next TEs (fantasy wise), but in the last few years I think the TE has a lot more guys who can produce.

I wanted Witten but he was taken with the pick before. I had Gates last season, he put up huge numbers but he is hurt half the time. Which is a killer in a head to head league, he starts and then comes out of the game with no points. Then the next week he has 7 catches with two TD's. So his overall production looks good. But he ended up costing me in a lot of matchups. I need a TE that puts up points every week in a head to head league. The injury to Winslow's knee concerned me as well.

Still, high scoring TE's are few and far between. The three you mentioned as well as TG are all valuable since the drop off is pretty substantial after those four. A wild card could emerge, Shocky for example, but those top four should be money.
