I am so busy this term it's not even funny. My schedule is brutal, so I think I might even have trouble watching all the Flames games if I don't get my nose to the grindstone early in the term.
I'll have to make full use of Friday and Saturday nights for relaxing that's for sure.

I'm writing a paper right now. Due tomorrow. I've only been in class for a week. I'm so not in the groove yet. 3 flipping pages and I can barely focus to write 1.

Hes a good prof alright. Very good at what he does, but he writes hard damned tests. I've had him for 343 and soon for auditing.

God, i'm so glad i'm done school! It's a great feeling when you're done but it definately was worth every penny getting a degree. I only finished last year but just going back and visiting friends at U of A campus makes me so happy that i'm done. I see a lot of people are in Business. That's what I did as well at the U of A. What's the course titles for Marketing 317, Accounting 317 and MGIS 317 @ the U of C? I'm sure I did all those at the U of A but the numbers are different so was just curious because a poster earlier mentioned they were difficult.

I'm in business at the U of A. Let me tell you, for someone who hates finance, taking 2 finance and an accounting class isn't fun. At least there's a sociology class in there.
Accounting 456
Finance 412
Finance 422
Sociology 224
I don't really like this semester I'll tell you that much.

Oilfan, Those are all the intro courses that all business students have to do. I did them, hated them all, and am now glad I will never, EVER, have to do these dumb coures again.
Man, it feels good to be done, and it's almost two years running

Ah thanks. So at U of A it's Marketing 301, Accounting 311 and Mgtsc 301/352.
Marketing 301 @ U of A was a breeze as was Mgtsc 301. Mgtsc 352 and Acctg 311 were a bitch though (I had Gibbons for 311 and a Spanish guy for 352 whose name escapes me (probably because I never went lol) for those who are still at the U of A).

Thought I would resurrect this bad-boy of a thread to see if anyone else is feeling the crunch these last few weeks? This is my 5th year at university and I don't think I've ever had a term this rough.

My problem is that I am not sure studying will help! Sometimes I just don't feel smart enough to be where I am at.

haha you guys make me scared to go to university next year. Highschool sucks right now to cause I already got accepted to U of A so I have no motivation whatsoever to do anything in school right now. That's really not a good thing when you got six periods in a day, one of thems a spare, 3 are tests and two are major projects. My day sucks

The funniest thing to me was how in HS I could enjoy being in school all day everyday (5 classes) and then in University only had 2-3 classes a day and be too lazy to go!
HS is in-class work, university is textbook work.

Whoa there young pup, you need to respect your elders. No one insults the Captain and gets away with it on my watch. And no one questions the Captain's age either. The Captain is so old that his receding hairline has reached past his pubes. The Captain is so old that when he was in school they didn't have an Ancient History class, because there wasn't that much history to begin with. The Captain is so old that when he went to school the dress code forbid girls from wearing pants... which also explains why the Captain had the best spit polish in the service (like mirrors baby).
All kidding aside, the Captain is also very well educated. You can tell just by talking to the guy, when he is not in his stand-up comedian mode. I'm not sure if the Captain went to a "post-secondary" institution, but if he didn't it does not mean he is not educated or that his education does not put him on an intellectual plane above yours. The Captain has obviously graduated from the School of Hard Knocks, a very prestigious institution to us old farts, and graduated with Honor (note the missing "s"), something that comes with dedicating ones life to the service of others. With age comes experience and wisdom, and the Captain has both in spades, which compliments his high level of intellect.

He likely rains to on your parade because your complaining is funny. Complaining about being in school? Wow. Those are the salad of your life and you should be relishing them. After they're done, you're going to quickly find out what drudgery is all about. But no, you toss your salad and think about how hard done by you are because you have to sit in school and LEARN something that may prove to be valuable down the road. I think this is why the Captain, and others, rain on your parade. You have an opportunity that others never get, or never had, and you still have the gaul to whine about it.
Also, what is this stuff about "old people" not being able to use a computer? Computers have been around a lot longer than you have junior, and some of us have been working with them long before you were an urge in your father's pants. Until you've had to carry your computer code around in a shoebox (all the old schoolers will know what I'm talking about) you don't really understand or appreciate just how far computers have come and how they really work. Christ, take a mouse away from you whippersnappers and you'd be lost.

Five years to do an undergrad? And you questioned the Captain on the quality of his education? I hope you're either in engineering or on a med or law track. You are aware that a lot of people complete their undergrad while working full-time? You are aware that many people don't/didn't have the opportunity to go to university or college out of high school and had to take a job immediately? These people go back to school later in life and get their undergrad while working, and don't complain about it. Trying doing 50 hours a week to support your family AND finishing off a complete undergraduate degree in 15 months. When you do that, then come back and complain about how tough it is or how heavy your workload is. Until then, expect some shots from the greybeards who find humor in your whining about how hard done-by you are and how busy your life is. You have yet to discover what being busy and stressed out really is.
Now I think you should apologize to the Captain, and offer to help him across the street or wash his Model T.

If you're in engineering, that would be impossible, i was working part-time( 2 days a week) and cut that down to 1 day a week, there's no way you can do your undergrad in engineering and work full-time.
Than again there are some programs, that don't require a lot of time so you can work full-time.

Hence me selecting engineering, med or law as exceptions in the previous sentence. Those are three programs where it would be very difficult to work and complete a program in four years. Not impossible (my boss completed his civil eng. degree in four years while working to support his family) but exceptionally difficult. I'd be interested to know what our thread starter is majoring in. I'm suspecting its not one of the programs identified.

This is so true. I remember thinking after my first semester of university how much high school was a complete joke.
