You know I actually didn't enjoy his hockey books. I couldn't put my finger on why but they just didn't float my boat.

The even stranger thing is that a thoroughly enjoyed his book Baseballisimo chronciling pro baseball in Italy. Great read. Not sure why I didn't get the same out of his hockey efforts.

reading Baseballissimo right now, it's a good one too.

I was also a fan of his Battletech stuff, and a couple of his older fantasy series, like the dragoncrown war cycle, but his new book series, A secret atlas, was a pretty large disapointment to me. For whatever reason, the premise sounded cool, characters were kinda interesting, but for whatever reason, I didn't like how it was all put together, at least in book1, though It can still turn around.

That's kind of disapointing to hear, as A Secret Atlas is probably going to be my next read after Crows. Agreed on his DragonCrown War series though. That was a well written series.
