They didn't actually though. Could have selected someone who was injured, or would bow out, to give themselves the late addition slot. Instead they went with Montembault for political reasons.

Mark Stone too.

I wonder if either of those guys are on the Olympic team next year.

Their age and Olympic ice doesn't seem like a good fit, and Canada can't make the same mistake they made in 2006 and bring older guys that don't have the wheels to keep up.
