It's a 19 year old tournament. Plenty of very good high quality 18 year olds have played second fiddle or missed out on this team completely.

Maybe a dumb Q, but he can play next year, right? Assuming he's not leading the blueline with Makar next year and the Flames let him?

Idk I can’t find 6 d-men that are better than Parekh.
He’s without a doubt the #1 offensive dman in the tourney let alone Canada.

Something Canada hasn’t seen or had in a long time.

It would be pretty tough to leave the reigning CHL defenseman of the year of the team.

He has expressed his goal is to make thr Flames this year. I don't think the Flames are planning on that happening but guys in all fairness have to beat him out and i really don't see that happening.
Seriously. Who is better than him right now? Or Even Hunter Brzustewicz right now another kid i expect to push for a spot unsuccessfully of course but still.

Its really exciting to even think theres a remote chance. When were we ever able to have this discussion before ....cant wait to see these guys suit up.

They don't lack offensive from the defense either.

Parekh was in the lineup tonight against Sweden. Looking at the roster for the game, it looks like the guys that most likely have the inside track to make the team. Played on the third pair.
