Panthers are undefeated on the season. But it's not like they've had easy competition so far. Here's the schedule:

Pittsburgh (no regulation losses so far, highly competitive team spanking the Leafs tonight)
Islanders (last year's conference finalists)
Tampa (last year's cup winner)
Colorado (potentially this year's cup winner)
Philadelphia (very skilled team, handed their first regulation loss tonight)

Honestly, that's a tough, tough schedule to go undefeated. I think we're seeing the emergence of the next elite team in the league. Watch out for them, I think they're for real.

Okay, I just heard about Seattle's banner-raising ceremony they're doing in their 2nd game and I now want them to lose every game for the remainder of the season. Good lord that's embarrassing.

Seattle retired number 32 and hung it in the rafters.

Only the Avs retired a jersey quicker and more akwardly…Ray Bourque after playing two seasons.

This has given the Oilers some ideas I bet too.

Kraken retire #32. That would have been awkward if they had drafted Quick.

Fake banners? Who do they think they are the Oilers?

Also embarrassing but not as bad as trying to claim a Stanley Cup won by another franchise over a century ago as your own.

Didn't the Wild retire #1 (for their fans ) in their first game too?

Yeah but this is worse than just retiring #1, they chose 32 because they had 32,000 people put down deposits for season tickets apparently.

I mean I guess also they're team #32 but that's stupid because there have been more than 32 teams in NHL history and someone else will fold eventually so that's not going to stick either.

I already despise this franchise.

Did Ottawa do that? Or someone else?

Their announcer didn't get the memo on the pronunciation of Gio's name.

Man, they love Tanev.

Yeah, the Sens have banners for the Cups won by the original Senators. There's a rumour Seattle is planning on doing it this season when the Habs are in town too.
