It's a sad state of humanity when people are saying "I told you so" to a significant health condition and what is likely the end of his career.
To be clear, I am very pro-vaxx. But leading with anger and righteousness I just don't think is the right choice either.

I hope he forfeits his salary because he wasn't vaccinated. Its time for idiots to get punished for being idiots.

Orders of magnitude different. More likely that he gets colkn cancer in his 20’s than VAERS myocarditis. There’s always risk, but the vaccine myocarditis risk is essentially insignificant in the grand picture of all medical risks.
Just because they have the same name doesn’t make them remotely comparable

well don't worry, if you go on fb and read comments on the news stories about this, he ACTUALLY got the myocardihalitosis FROM the vaccine that he got in secret because BETTMAN MADE HIM.
I wish to god I was making this up.

If the dude wasn't spouting off on twitter and im sure everywhere else, I may have about 10% less schadenfreude but when a person can't bother to do the bare minimum to protect others (and themselves) and then get bit by it..... epic lolz

I agree with you, but I also understand people's....anger is probably the best way to put it.
Nothing to do with Archibald in particular.
But a lot of people have sacrificed a significant amount, we see the state of our medical system and there are a lot of people who are harbouring a lot of resentment not only for their own imposed restrictions but also because there are many perfectly able-bodied individuals declining the vaccine.
Considering what some people have gone through over the past couple years and now there are people who seem ideologically aligned with Archibald or people like him while sacrifices have been made and some people have been denied their own medical treatments because of it.
I dont agree with leading with anger and righteousness either, but I can kind of understand where thats coming from.
I've been to a couple of COVID funerals. I've had medical care denied to me at certain points during lockdowns. I still consider myself eminently fortunate in most regards through the Pandemic, but I've also seen and known a lot of people significantly less fortunate than me.
And then there are people protesting in front of Hospitals....
There is a lot of anger out there. And its going to take a long time for that to dissipate.
Archibald just seems caught in the crossfire of that accumulated anger. He might be something of a focal point.
Its just a bad state of affairs right now.

Yes definitely a huge difference in myocarditis caused by the vaccine is mild and will more than likely put you on the couch for a week while you rest but myocarditis caused by covid is major and can result in death I wonder how badly his heart is damaged some of these people that get covid and recover are only given a couple years to survive due to enlargement of the heart

It’s an even sadder state of humanity when science brought forth a safe and effective option against a preventable disease but a small but significant population of people reject it due to misinformation and selfishness, causing further lockdowns and overburdening of the healthcare system.

Normally I agree 100%, but with every passing day my disgust for these morons grows stronger and stronger.
Most of the antivaxing idiots that are left now aren't lazy fence sitters. They are willfully ignorant pieces of selfish ####, and as a group they are actively killing people and ruining lives, yet they still think they are right and we are all stupid sheep.

When an adult makes a terrible decision, after spreading false info about Covid, I think it's more than fair to point out that he made a bad decision.
I would have much more sympathy for him if he was to come out and say he made a mistake and encourage others to now get vaccinated.
I'm not holding my breath though.

My daughter's hip operation has been postponed due to folks not getting vaccinations...so I agree with you where it is coming from...a lot of anger.
I just don't think anger will change anyone's mind at this point. And I'm angry too.
The only thing that I think really starts making a difference is if Doctors start triaging, and those that are unvaccinated and have COVID get Bumped to a lower priority than say, my daughter who needs this surgery.
And I don't even know if that's a possibility within our Healthcare system. I'd like to see it though.

The Oilers currently have two players missing this season due to heart issues after having Covid. Can you name a single NHL player who is missing the season because of a vaccine side effect?
The long term health implications of Covid are terrible, and scare tactics which misrepresent the relative risks between the vaccine and the disease are bush league crap.

Risk from myocarditis from a vaccine is 1 in a million(if I have that right...), so by not getting vaccinated, he not only got covid, but also had a 450x greater risk of it. That's dumb. That's on him. I don't feel bad.

Is it really “leading” with anger and righteousness?
This is just one new data point in a conversation that has been going on for a very long time now
I don’t think that people arrived at the point where they think “#### him” or “Play stupid games, win stupid prizes”, or “I’m angry at people who are selfish enough to ignore science and data and are willing to put other people at risk” etc. instantaneously
