Why are we complaining about Markstrom playing?

Because he's good and we want to lose?

Or because he sucks?

I don't know anymore. I can't keep up with all the winds of hate on here.

Nice touch by Leslie laughing at people tuning into the game. Not really sure why I flipped the channel over, watch Rucizka at the NHL level I guess.

I don’t see one redeeming reason for starting Markstrom in this game!! Makes me question Sutter a bit!!

I want them to lose for better draft position yes. As for culture or systems or whatever I don't believe for a second it matters with 3 meaningless games at the end of the year that none of the players even want to play. At least throw your young guys a bone and let them play. Its a small reward to get some NHL action. At the very minimum it's a nice pay check. No reason you need to risk vets getting hurt. Especially someone like Markstrom. Gio playing 26 minutes while Valimaki plays 0 is very confusing.

The backup right now is Domingue, the Flames 3rd stringer for this year. He’s almost certainly not going to be the backup next year.

The Flames have barely played lately and really nobody in the system is gonna be the backup next year anyway

plus what are you going to learn against this flaccid team?
