When I saw the headline first thought that came to mind was that he is stepping down to accept a position with the Oilers. Really would anyone be surprised if the Oilers reached out to him? It would kind of complete the circus.
In fairness Sather would be the most competent person to join the oilers since Sather left.

This reminds me of when Stompin' Tom Connors died. I was both shocked to learn of his passing, and at the same time, shocked to learn that, until very recently, he was still alive.
