What a forward group we have now!!
No kidding! This was the guy i wanted in fa. He can score and instantly improves the top 6. Would much rather have neal at 5 by 5.75 than give maroon 4 by 4-4.25

Good for BM for having a great sense of humour.

James Neal has scored 20+ goals for 10 straight seasons.
Signing him may officially solve the scoring woes (at least in theory).

don't know how to feel about this. Adding him to the forward group is massive, but a 35-year-old Neal making close to 6m? Yikes.

This isn't real is it?

I hope this means Brouwer is traded now. Just no room for him now.

If the deal McKenzie is reporting is accurate that is an insanely good price for Neal at a reasonable term. I'm shocked he couldn't get more.

The 5th year might be a bit of a woofer but to land a legitimate top 6 forward I'm ok with that.

The term could have been better i suppose, but the $$ is bang on.

Hopefully he keeps on chuggin along as he has done his whole career.

He is a legit scorer for sure.

Wow. I honestly did not expect a signing of this magnitude from the Flames this offseason, should it pan out.

Rather have Neal at 5.75 than Maroon at 4.0

That's a win for me even with the 5 years.
