Damn, when I got to work I was mad because the radio wasn't working and I couldn't listen to the game. In hindsight thank god the radio wasn't working.
Tired of hearing how the flames d is so good, maybe even best in the league. they havent played a good game this year... i know it is only 5 games but edmonton's d- core looks better so far, even though it clearly isnt
Reminds me of the hype the D-Core the Flames built in 09-10. Best on paper but terrible in their own zone.

You knew this game was coming. The team won a couple games because Smith stole it. Even GG said the team needs to pick it up.
I think there is a weird dynamic amongst the team leadership. The org has a lot invested in brouwer and stajan and they aren't getting it done on the ice. There are young guys sitting while the vets are underperforming.

I didn't watch the third but I didn't think they looked that bad the first two. Anderson made some really good saves to keep the lead. Once the officiating started calling every little thing the last half of the second they started to fall apart.
Just a weird night - as mentioned they were the better team at 5v5 in the first 30 - only Blemish was a Gaudreau turnover that ended up in the net on the rush.
Then they 8 straight minutes of penalties - allowed another late goal and then one early on the PP and it was all she wrote. They pretty much gave up after that.
Tomorrow is big...with a win to morrow I think we have to be pretty happy
4-2 after 6 games, four on the road
pretty solid
If they can play the same way they did in Anaheim and LA, there's no reason they shouldn't beat the Canucks tomorrow. Hopefully we can get a solid outing from Lack and the team can stay out of the box.
Flames didn't lose because of Brouwer and Stajan's efforts on the fourth line
They were just a part of the the problem but my issue is they are out there killing penalties and Brouwer is even on the PP. Brouwer played 13 minites tonight
The two slowest forwards on the team outside of Jagr are one of the flames pk units and you've got a guy who can't score on the pp.
I always find it remarkable when a player is as universally hated by the fanbase as Brouwer is yet is given chance after chance by the coaching staff.

Yuck. Bad game. But those will happen. It's how they respond that will determine how good this team is. I expect a much better team tomorrow in Vancouver.
Penalties were atrocious. The refs were not letting anything slide and our boys adjusted poorly. Meh, I'm chalking it up to Fri 13th bad game.
Win tomorrow and its fine
