They have beaten some really good teams on the road lately...get the PP and top line going even marginally and we are in business

Also, refs can EAD...at some point the league needs to step in

Bull crap officials. Flames play through it. Oilers lose. Goal disallowed on the savior. Canucks are shut out. I'm happy. Bedtime now.

As I was driving home on Vancouver Island tonight, I picked up the Canucks post-game show on TSN 1040 radio and they were lamenting the fact that they had no good young guys (aside from Horvat) in the system who can create offense and drive hard to the net. I was tempted to phone in and remind them that they passed on Tkachuk.

Woot a flames win.... but man my interest in hockey is at an all time low with how bad the refs are. If anyone else was this bad at their job, they wouldn't have a job anymore.

Johnson with a great performance.

Can you imagine how good their record would be with any semblance of life from the teams top guys.

Very encouraging!

Tkachuk - Backs - Frolik

That should be our number one line right now. My goodness they are carrying.

Johnson with a incredible performance. Everything they didn't have last year.
The flames are a playoff team if they play like they did tonight. They are a serious threat if they play like that and our highest paid forwards show up.

Engelland probably told him about this Calgarypuck place somebody told him about.

5v5, the Flames definitely deserved to win:

PP still needs serious work. Refs were brutal tonight but eh, at least it helped pad the PK stats.

Gaudreau and Monahan were at 4% xGF% today at 5on5. Comically low. They can't stink this much forever.

Ferland was incredible this game and I feel like Johnson should have got a star. Tkachuk was the hero tonight though.

Our goalie was better than their goalie. Feels good.

Tkachuk/Backlund/Frolik just owning it on both ends of the ice. Ferland/Stajan/Bouma were solid as well.

Liked what I saw from both Kulak and Picklepakka on the blue line. Gio/Brodie also looked good. Engelland with two points?!?

Johnson is a solid backup. Elliott/Johnson almost make up for the Hiller/Ramo/Ortio nightmare last season. Defence is looking better and secondary scoring is making up for the other offence issues.

Hopefully Monahan and Gaudreau can shake off whatever problems they have. Not sure I have much trust in PP getting better under Cameron but at least the individual performance can improve.
