I'll be disappointed in Seiloff if he doesn't hit someone and start a fight because of it.

Pat Steinberg @Fan960Steinberg
Derek Grant won't play tomorrow with a groin injury. Nakladal and Engelland questionable for tomorrow, too. #Flames

I've never seen Kylington play for any length of time, even at development camp so I'm very interested to watch him for real.
Nice to see Sieloff on an NHL rink after his health issues - I don't think he has a role on this team going forward with his lack of puck skills, but there'll need to be someone physical back there after Engelland moves on.

Really excited for Kylington. I think he's the best prospect the franchise has right now.

Is Kylington the youngest Dman to suit up in franchise history?

Sieloff doesn't lack puck skills. They're still raw due to missed time but he can skate the puck out of danger (or.. into danger, lol) and he can hit the man reasonably clean on the breakout. He's better than a plug and that's why he's earned a call up.
He has little offensive zone game though.

Sieloff hey? I havent watched him this year and I know he's still only 22(?) but I tend to think of him as a non-prospect already. Must be all the time missed to injury. It will be interesting to see where he's at if he gets any game time.

What a draft that was, we went from one of our lowest positional needs to now one of the top. Treliving is doing pretty good rebuilding this team I would say. Kylington is going to be exciting to watch.

Did the research for youngest Flames defenceman to play a game:
Al Macinnis: 18 and 172 days.
Olliver Kylington will be 18 years and 326 days.
Derek Morris: 19 and 38 days.
Robyn Regehr: 19 and 192 days.
Jamie Allison: 19 and 258 days.
So Kylington will be the second youngest defenceman for the Flames.
Steve Konroyd was 19 and change and Tony Curtale played his only 2 NHL games during his 19 year old season as well.

I think MacInnis played a couple games as an 18 year old as well, but that was before my time.

Was listening to the Stockton/Ontario game on Tuesday and the commentator (don't know his name but he has super exuberant goal calls) said Elson has been the Heat's best player for a while now.

Nice outcome for Kylington, a late second-rounder (almost third-rounder).

It's great that Kylington is playing, but it's less an accomplishment from talent than opportunity. He has a number of things going for him that many don't irrespective of talent
1) Played in the AHL in his 18yo season because he had no junior eligibility restrictions
2) NHL team is out of contention and in evaluation mode
3) AHL team isn't likely to make playoffs
Having said all that, I think he'll soon be one of the best players from the 2015 draft
