Draft picks aren't going to help us a whole lot if our window opens in the next 3 years unless they're in the upper half of the first round or a freak late round home run but even those take time. This draft isn't that great. I care a lot more for developed assets ala Hamilton.

Sharks needed a veteran backup goalie for Martin Jones. Flames will probably (hopefully) not re-sign Hiller. Sharks can throw Alex Stallock as they probably just want him gone. Flames bury Stallock in the AHL.

Not to mention I believe Hiller was almost on his way to San Jose last summer, I'm sure Treliving and Doug Wilson have already had touch points about this.

I'm going to change my "first trade" prediction to Hiller for Stalock/pick as well.

That would be absolutely nuts but i dont think 1st round picks will be going that easily
