Phone hearing is still a hearing. Then it would be 5 or less. Still need a hearing

Hey Polak, Hartley put that line together. Does he get credit too?

I have this crazy theory that maybe Nakladal isn't playing because he's not that good and the other guys give us a better chance to win. Outrageous, right?
Flames win a snoozer 3-1 with an EN
Monahan and Gaudreau (x2) with the goals

That's probably what Hartley believes. But I guess we'll never know unless Nakladal actually gets a fair chance. It doesn't seem that major a risk to me. Smid and Engelland have not been very good the last two games.

I notice Bouma is not in the lineup Cali guessed would see the ice. Just an oversight or do you think both Jooris and Bollig draw back in?

Hey SP, can you stop trying to get Bennett suspended? We sorta need him.
Just my 2 cents, but the elbow wasn't the worst thing I saw in that game by a large margin. Sure a penalty, but not even a major for what he did, which I thought was fair. We had spearing to the gonads, crosschecks to the face, and guys kicking at other players with their skates. If those were let go his brush by elbow should be let go too.

Jooris is a better player than Jones anyway.

Would really like to see a line of Ferland-Granlund-Jooris. Good mix there.

That's pretty interesting. I'd like to see some information on Refs and how many calls they against teams. I didn't notice it in the site.

Here's one where he waved off 2 Flames goals.

Walkom and Furlatt were paired together for eight games this postseason. They called their games evenly on the scoresheet but inconsistently on the ice, frustrating both fans and players. Together, they averaged 8 minor penalties called per game.
|
Furlatt's refereeing record. You can select individual games and it will show the penalties.

I've actually asked them that - waiting for a reply. It's hard to know if the stats are by "ref" or by "ref pair".
I assume that stat is kept - ie which ref calls which penalties, but I've never seen it anywhere specifically.
If it existed, some database/SSRS/Excel work would be in order to do a little bias-checking. I know that we as fans perceive certain refs to have a bias, but it would be interesting to know if it is borne out by statistical analysis.

Referee Eric Furlatt worked #SJSvsCGY game last night. #Flames were short-handed a season-high 9 times. Furlatt will work #ARIvsCGY tonight.

Furlatt needs to retire. I even remember how horrible he was during the series with Chicago.
