Ville Nieminen former Flame told me Barkov would be a great NHL Player. That was before Florida took him in the draft. Nieminen played with Barkov in Finland and his father before that.

Hard to compare to Jones since defensemen usually take longer to make an impact and he might look twice as good on a team that doesn't have Weber and Josi ahead of him where he could get premium ice time. He's as valuable overall as Monahan IMO.

Barkov may end up the best of the bunch IMO even though he's developed a touch slower than MacKinnon.

MacKinnon to me is basically a middle-class man's Malkin and I see Barkov as a guy like Anze Kopitar. Very different players but I think both are franchise players.
