Admirable, but with your system, the best you can do is meet expectations, and often fail to meet them. With my system, the worst I can do is meet expectations, and often beat them.

Hopefully, playing the third game in three nights and at altitude has an impact on the Jets.

What about the in-between? Hope for and expect the best, but prepare for the worst.

Are the Canucks going to dress Sven against the Kings? Doesn't seem like the greatest fit for the type of game the Kings will play.

Jets get Berra for the Avs game:

“@Avalanche: Roy said the team will be alternating goalies for the final three games. Varly vs. NSH, Berra vs. WPG, Varly vs. CHI.”

I saw some of that game and it was typical Berra. Not pretty but he managed to get in front of a lot of shots and make a couple of spectacular saves. The way he plays you just never know what you are going to get from them so he could stink it up against the Jets or he could stone them. I will say that Varlamov is the uncontested starter playing out the string while Berra has a lot to prove if he wants to be the backup next year so he should be the more motivated of the two.

Is it possible Calgary could clinch tonight with regulation losses by both LA and WPG?

I though I just heard that on the radio, I'm out on Vancouver Island.

lol we wish.

They both lose in regulation and they're still only a point behind us and the games are even.

Vancouver doesn't even clinch in that scenario, and they'd be five points up.

Vancouver clinches with a win and a Jets regulation loss. At least that's what I have heard.

Maybe you heard that if LA loses tonight, and the Flames win tomorrow night, the Flames could clinch Thursday.

Jets have only played 78 games, if they lose they'll have 3 games remaining and therefore can end up with 6 more points in addition to their current 92. That's a possible 98 points if they win out. Canucks have 95 points; a win only gets them to 97.

Unless I'm missing something.
