I wasn't a fan of having Ramo over Hiller, but perhaps a different goalie against Anaheim might do the trick. They've lost 2 in a row, let's make in 3.

I like that it seems fair by Bob.

Coming into the season, the starters job was up for grabs. Ramo had some really good games sprinkled in early, but Hiller had taken the starter's spot, and was given a longer leash.

Now that Ramo has taken the starter's spot back, he's being afforded the same longer leash.

I'm of the opinion guys of certain mentalities don't play well when they know one bad period could have them on the bench for a month.

Hartley has handled the goalie situation exceptionally well all season.

Hope we see some more Ramo magic on Wednesday.

I think Hiller would be the correct choice.
Ramo deserves another start based on his record on the road trip. That and the Flames hung him out to dry in Detroit.

Hiller had a long rope and plenty of starts right after a bad game. I think Ramo still has the hot hand. Glad to see Hartley go back to him.

Ramo gets the long leash as far as getting to start after what I think was a mediocre game - hung out to dry or not, could have made a couple of those saves that turned into goals, and just didn't track the puck well on the second. He gets this on the strength of the entire road trip, especially the first three or four games, where he was a star every might and stole a couple games.

But he may get a short leash in the game itself. The last game wasn't great, and Hiller then came in and made a couple fantastic saves himself.

Ramo hasn't faced Anaheim yet.
IC... yep.. Ramo is definitely the guy to go with.

I actually thought he was missed during the Ottawa game. He always has his motor going and he would have been able to spark some intensity that was totally lacking for the first 40 minutes of the game.

Fantastic interview by Colborne on the Fan earlier in the day

http://www.sportsnet.ca/960/hockey-c...special-group/

- After the second period in the Ottawa game, there was a few guys in the room that stood up and said some things and they are happy to get at least one point, didn't feel like a loss.

- Talks about how momentum is a big part of the game and can change quickly. Mentions Bollig or Engelland fighting or Bouma blocking a couple of shots.

- With Gio going down, Wideman has taken over a big leadership role and has been more vocal lately.

- Flames' respect level has risen substantially around the league and teams aren't taking it easy on them.

- Playoffs are a long way away and no one is even thinking about that yet. All focus right now is on the game against Anaheim.

- Lots of fun to come to the rink when the games matter as much as they do, can feel the same buzz around the city.

- More than happy to fill any role that the coach asks him to, whether it be playing on the top line or the checking line.

Not punched but it was a nasty high stick on his last AHL stint for the baby flames.
