Was nice to see Bolig go have a chat with Marchand after he went after Johnny Hockey. He keeps that up and he'll have a spot here. Would have liked to see him hammer March though. Little Rat.

Nothing compared to the LA game where they got away with interference and holding every 10 seconds. Probably 50 or 60 missed calls in that game.

The teams that have been in the SC finals in the past few years really get away with pretty much anything on home ice. It's been very evident this year when the Flames have been on the road in LA, Boston, NY

I find that Bollig plays way better with Stajan as his centre. Ferland - I'm interested to see his compete level after sitting.

Good idea to put Poirier upstairs to look at the game from above after some game action. If he's smart like Johnny he'll identify a couple things to improve his game.

I felt shocked after that game as well, it's embarrassing that can happen at this level of sport. The "benefit of the doubt" thing because they're a good team gets way out of hand. So frustrating.

I feel like Hiller typically plays well coming off the bench when Ramo or Ortio had solid runs. I expect him to be on the top of his game. Hoping for another W to keep pace in the west.

Oh I didn't mean they got called for everything, but the Bruins did get called on a lot. I would bet the Wings could get away with a lot more.

Agreed, many posters here seemed to be much less nervous with our 4th line on the ice when Stajan returned to it.

Not sure if you're interested in the stats, but through 197 minutes together, Bollig and Stajan control 44.9% of unblocked shot attempts, compared to 35.1% in 215 minutes of Bollig without Stajan. Not bad considering these guys start in the d-zone more than twice as often as the o-zone.

Hopefully Ferland is recharged and ready to come out flying!

I think a big reason for this is because they keep their game so simple. The rest of our team likes to be fancy with their plays, which usually ends up creating a give away or losing the puck before getting a shot off.

I've noticed teams like LA and Boston specifically keep their game simple and focus a lot on just getting shots on net, which create opportunities through rebounds and hard work in front of the net.

Did You Know? #Flames have an NHL-best 97.0 PK% since January 29th, killing 32 of 33 times shorthanded.

That game and the Rangers game were terrible. LA figured out they could obstruct and play dirty early and ran with it in their game plan the rest of the way. Rangers just kept doing dumb things that should've landed them in the box a number of times but didn't, came off as a rigged contest if I'd ever seen one.

At least the Bruins were called on there ####. But I hate that such inconsistency in officiating between games exists. Maybe the option for coaches to "challenge" and have plays reviewed should exist.

There was a blatant interference against Bouma that was missed as well.

Everytime Bartkowski was on the ice, he was either hooking, holding, or interfering with one of our players. The refs got him a couple of times, but there were plenty of more they could have called against Bartkowski.

Ryan #####bag Lambert should include this in his analysis.

And they don't take many penalties to begin with.

No you see, the advanced stats guys like to pretend that anything besides 5 on 5 hockey simply doesn't exist.
