From my searching online it sounds like he'll be in a brace for 4 to 6 weeks and then rehab after. Even if the Flames do make the playoffs without him, he probably still wouldn't be available until later rounds. Really sucks...

Treliving said 4-5 months recovery, surgery in a couple days.

I just had this surgery December 13. As of today I am using a band with a 5 pound maximum weight until March 13. Horrible news for a wonderful season.
I was told 4-6 months until full activity as well.
Sucks for him.
Time for the boys to step up and fill the gap.

Well, we went from 4th in the Pacific to 3rd in the Pacific without playing a game. I am going to enjoy the rest of the season and not be disappointed by the outcome.
Hopefully the guys just go out there and keep doing what they were doing, and if it works out then great! If not there is no point in hanging their heads.
Either way it's going to be a hell of a ride.

Well that sucks, but let's not go cutting our wrists now folks...
Pressure to make the playoffs is now off the team. If they somehow do make it, then it's all gravy. If not, well, we're still further along than almost everyone here thought we would be.

But i'd have moved Jones and some others in light of this news. Bring the young guys up and let's see what they have. Sell high on some veterans when we had the chance.
