Gotta agree that Spotless Mind Eternal whateverthefata was terrible. That is the movie with jime carey moping around for an hour before I canned it, right?

Equally craptacular movie was ohh, I forget the name... It starts with an A, and nic cage mopes arpound for an hour before I ca that one too. Its about a flower, and there was one good line in the entire movie, something she says to him when they're in the van and theres a goldfish involved.

**sorry for the last paragraph**

I saw something last night that may or may not have been a movie. It was called Dead Zone, and I just caught the last 40 minutes or so (hence the reason why I don't know if it was a movie). Christopher Walken & Martin Sheen (~1980) about a guy who has visions of the future. WAs pretty good.

Hmmm, recently, recently.... I am probably the last guy you would call a Jim Carey fan, but I saw Me Myself & Irene AGAIN a little while back. That movie just gets funnier & funnier.

Gotta love:

Yeah, Friday was great, Chris Tucker made that movie, Next Friday and Friday After Next were mediocre.

I thought Eternal Sunshine was brilliant myself. Interesting subject matter, Carrey was great. Gotta be in the mood for it I guess.

Whale Rider is an under-rated movie

You are thinking of Adaptation which was a bad show but not nearly as bad as Eternal Sunshine.

Thats the one. What a shinguardty movie. In the opening scene, he makes a reference to the movie 'Being John Malkovich'. Because of Adaptation, I avoided Malkovich for about a year. I eventually relented & watched Malkovich & actually liked it.

Adaptation was the worst movie I've ever seen.

Speaking of movies, I'm watching Old School right now on CBC. Funny movie. As per the comerrcials, CBC is playing Bowling For Columbine on Sept. 11... Leave it the CBC to do something like that.

The Boondock Saints - just saw it and thought it was great. Also just watched the Untouchables. Another excellent movie.

Definitly agree with that. I think right now my two favourite movies from 2005 are Crash and Sin City. They are two totally different movies but both were amazing.

I'd have to say Downfall is one of my favourites from 2005 too, but that was a late 2004 release.

Man, you guys are hard on Kaufman movies.

I love them. For somebody tired of the everyday, formulaic-script, predictable Hollywood flicks, his movies are a breath of fresh air.

I saw Danny Boyle's "Millions" on a cross-country airplane trip, and it was great. A great, great family movie. Those of you with 8-16 year olds should watch it with your kids.

"Oldboy" was also excellent. And, of course, "The Life Aquatic." I just love that movie. So quirky and full of life and adventure and subtlety. Brilliant flick.

Oh yeah, I will also vouch for "Crash." Forgot about that one. A-fataing-mazing.

I just got home from work and stopped along the way at Rogers Video to pick up Sin City, then I didn't.. zero extras on that DVD. I quickly went online just to see why not -- director Robert Rodriguez is usually huge on extras -- the damn movie studio rushed this DVD to capitilize on DVD sales rushing it home in 4 months instead of 6. Rodriguez has already stated he will be putting out a two-disc special edition for a similar price around November.

#####ing movie studio.

Yeah I noticed that too, but I really wanted to watch it again and I am not upset that I bought it now. I will probably end up buyin the new version in Nov and tradin in the current one.

BTW....the featurette on the this DVD is good, but way too short, only 8 minutes.

I just was expecting a DVD chock full of extras and was let down when I look at the box. I will probaly buy this version when it hits the previously viewed stands in a week or two though.

I mean, I bought the re-issued Ghostbuster DVD's on the weekend for 20 bucks, and I already own the first ones. Both movies for 20 bucks? Bargain!
