Looking at the disciplinary video, I still think the hit was a smidge above the knees. Kulikov's jersey hanging down makes him look thicker than he is.

Watching that slowed down shows Kulikov could have absolutely hammered him with a good shoulder to shoulder hit.
but instead he crouched waaay too low ,and hits him with his shoulder around the lower thigh area , who the hell taught him to hit like that ?
Puts Seguin in a position were he has no chance to defend himself ,or prepare for that hit.
4 games seems ok (no previous offenses) but would love for the NHL/NHLPA to get together and agree to protect players from dangerous hits like this and extend suspensions.

Did not like the hit at all and Flames fans would be apoplectic if Monahan was caught in a similar fashion by an opposing player.

I like a good hipcheck as much as anyone. This was not a good hipcheck. He was way too low. No way to defend this. 4 games is fair considering he has no history.

4 games vs. 3 to 6 weeks.

Doesn't seem quite fair to both Dallas and Seguin.
Too bad the league can't suspend him for the length of time that Seguin is out.

If I was a Dallas fan I'd be royally pissed.

Maybe the Stars should trade Nichushkin for Cammalleri. It would have to happen now to make sense though.

Do you have to work at being a jerk or does it just come naturally to you?

It's honestly pretty effortless at this point.
