I had a few at 23, now a few years later it's a bit more noticeable. Just remember you're a silver fox...

Silver fox...

Started turning grey at 12 lol! Math teacher in school asked me one day " How come you have grey hair" response "Teachers"! Didn't do well in her class lol.

By the age of 27 I started my own business. Meeting clients much older than I, full on salt and pepper hair by then. Hair made me look like I was in my 40s but in great shape lol. Age of 34 had a stroke, month after that 65 percent of my hair was grey.

Funny having a guy at work tell me I am incredibly strong, not just because I am an old guy lol. He is three years older than me. Doesn't know it.

Me too. Mine started falling out at around 19 or 20. It'll all be gone before it goes grey (I'm 26 now)

32 and no grey hairs yet. Actually I got one on the side of my head around 2 months ago but then it went away.

Hairline started receding a bit at around 28 but has kind of stopped.

I first noticed a grey hair in my late 20's. However, that was 2005-06. Now I have a few grey hairs on the side of my head.

"This is a little known fact but it is true. The age 35 marks many a milestone in a man’s life. He is earning a steady income; he is matured in the ways of life and in the ways of the world; he is confident of himself and carries himself with élan. One very important thing to happen to him at this age is that he finally starts to grey. And man with grey hair has got to be the sexiest of all species."

Not sure about first, I'm blond, probably early 30's but really started to get noticeably grey around 38-39. My brother is all silver haired now and that happened around 48.

Noticed my first grey hairs a few months ago and it's become more since then (I'm 28). Hardly surprising since my dad's hair were mostly grey when he was around 25, so I figured the same would happen to me. Probably not having kids yet delayed the process a bit, although being a teacher isn't exactly helping either

I have absolutely no problem with having grey hair, I'm just glad I still have very full hair. A couple of friends of mine are balding and I definitely prefer turning grey.

I was an early starter at about 23 -- I have really dark brown hair so it's easy to notice. Really just kind of in the sides and front a bit, progressing very slowly. It's there though.

Getting my first noticeable grey hairs in my beard in the past year or so. Not quite 40 yet. Have had a few random ones in my head fit a few years

It was the grey in my pubic mane that really depressed me. I've had grey chest hair for many years too.

Started to turn grey during my divorce....stress? That was at 44. I have a friend that started turning grey at 19. By 22 he was completely grey. I really don't care what color my hair is as long as I still have some.

I inherited the premature grey gene from my mum. I noticed my first grey hairs in late high school, other people were noticing not long after that, and by my mid-20s I was more than 50% grey. Probably 75% by 30, and closer to 90% at my current age of 35.

I have never really minded it, I suppose. It is unique and I can't be bothered to keep up with a colouring routine.

Funny that Wormius should mention that it is "Richard Gere-ish" because my soccer team nicknamed me that in my twenties. It was an ongoing joke that went as far as calling out "Richard!" on the field when they wanted a pass, and even introducing me as that when meeting people.

And just the other day, a kid at the pool asked my why my hair was white.

Women, particularly older women, seem to dig it. So there's that.

I am 57 and still brunette - I had an aunt who died in her 70's with beautiful natural brown hair.

You started balding early 30's? Thats really late, I'd say hello to a endocronologist or a tricologist.

No grey's yet but I'm 28 now and the balding has clearly started. I give it another year or so before I start shaving my head.

Random question on this topic - if I eventually get a hair transplant, do those hairs go grey?

First grey hair probably at 17...getting that salt and pepper look at 25/26.

Like many others, I'll gladly take it over thinning hair or balding.

No grey hair yet but my hairline started receding when I was 19. Fast forward 6 years and it's receded pretty bad (Really uneven too) but fortunately I still have enough hair to disguise it quite well. My gf still thinks I have a full head of hair. Hah.

Luckily outside of the receding hairline, my hair still super thick and no greys. We'll see how long that lasts....
