I was on vacation during the flood.

Yeah, I would have gotten some days off without vacation, but I also would have spent them in the basement of my in-law's house shoveling out sludge.

I'm pretty sure most people would have rather been on vacation..

Same timeline as provided earlier this week. They will try to turn the power on Thursday afternoon.

Agreed. I was affected by the flood and if I heard someone griping about being on vacation and not getting Free Flood Days Off!, I'd want to punch that person in the nose. And I'd think he/she is an a$$hole, forever.

Same thing if this fire had me out of my house for a week.

Anyone who spends vacation time fretting about co-workers getting three days off because of a fire is probably doing vacation wrong.

We are fine. We have internet with Shaw at the office and are a block south of the Shaw building.

We are a block south of the Peace Bridge. Everything was on this morning but the past couple of mornings it has been out but is back on when I get home from work.
