Don't exaggerate.
It did happen. The night the Hawks won the cup.

Same as Scrivens. If anything, he would have gotten more in arbitration.

2.3 is less than Ramo.

5.5 million combined for Bernier/Reimer is a steal.

Prove it then. The main story would of been titled "Hawks win cup" or "Kane wins Stanley Cup in OT" Not something like "Leafs biggest losers"

Come on meow.

Don't want to bring up save %, eh?

Reimer's career numbers are very solid.

.911, its fine, but nothing "amazing" Not to mention judging a goalie on his save percentage is useless.

Two of the past three seasons his GAA has been above 3.00

Perhaps its not "useless" but it should not be used to judge how good a goalie actually is.

He had good numbers during the lockout shortened season, but besides that he has shown nothing more then being an average NHL backup.

He has a 2.85 GAA and .914 save % in his career on the freaking Leafs. And 2.3 million is overpaid? What the hell has Ramo done to deserve more?

2.3 million is a great deal.

He had a terrific rookie season as well. Again his entire career numbers are very solid despite being outshot nightly.

And i'm not sure why save % is meaningless to you, yet GAA is so important to you.

According to that thread the article was posted on June 10th. The Blackhawks won the Cup on June 9th.

So TSN did not title a main article calling the Leafs the "biggest losers" immediately after the Blackhawks cup win.

How many NHL teams would Reimer be a starter on? I cant think of one besides possibly Winnipeg.

This is not true. You're simply looking at the time of the first post. The game ended very late at night in OT.

And now you're trying to create another argument. Admit it, you're shocked it did happen.

Reimer played great in the first half of the season, then was kind of screwed over by Carlyle when he played Bernier for a solid two months I think. Then Bernier got hurt and Reimer didn't play that great (I think he had around .900 SV%), but the team completely sucked in front of him.

The year before in the playoffs against Boston he basically won them a few games and then crapped the bed with the rest of the team.

He deserves the money. What had Bernier proved before signing his deal with the Leafs? If and when he gets traded I think he will put up solid numbers and be a #1 guy.

I can be corrected here but I am pretty sure he could not be signed. He was on an AHL deal (non CHL players can play in the AHL) and the Caps did not have his NHL rights. If he went through the draft again he would be a UFA (this is where I am not sure, him being considered "Euro" based. He might not have been a UFA even after this draft) but they chose not to risk it and drafted him instead to secure his rights.

Again, they couldn't. It's not terrible management to not violate the rules.

I've watched him for years in Toronto. He's a crap starter and one of the most inconsistent goalies in the NHL
