Anyone know how to get the American feed for the Super Bowl? We watched the game and it was ok but CTV hijacked Fox and we didn't see any of the US commercials

What about Bruno Mars, he get a mention? He's part Filipino.

None of the Americans I know seem bothered about the Coke commercial. I know a lot of Americans, I'm American, and interact with Americans on a daily basis...and still I have not heard mention of this ad in any of my daily interactions.

There are a lot of jerks down here though, so I'm sure somebody is outraged over this for some reason.

It's the same people that bitch about this country trying to be so PC and not hurting anyone feelings and they're upset of the "unamerican" crap.

I personally find it comical because they quote the bible and crap all the time then do this crap. There is a guy running for senate here that is a republican but pro gay marriage and they wont vote for him. They got all butt hurt when I asked them if they've ever been divorced or had pre-marital sex. Then it turns to a "it's not me on trial here" crap. They want to pick and choose their battles

The outrage over this ad reminds me how much of a dire, worthless pit this Twitter generation is.

Some days I'm ashamed to be a human

Actually they didn't even mention him. But I think that was because they did a story on him last week.

A bit of a stretch here, don't you think. The article in the OP even admits that there was a greater backlash of people telling these 'offendees' to stop being rednecks, yet like true Canadians, we're just taking the opportunity to bash Americans. Sometimes it's just so pathetic to watch and read. America does plenty to embarrass itself. We don't need to follow them around like Nelson from Simpsons and try to bust out the haha, especially when it's barely a story, and the reaction to the reaction pretty much redeemed them. It pretty much makes us look like the idiots.

Murica, eh?

Actually a very significant number of people are truly upset by this on the right, its not insignificant and goes to show how divided this country is and how touchy everyone has become. It should be a non story, but it certainly shows the country has a long ways to go on issues of racism, intolerance and bigotry.

So these posts are backlash about how the backlash against the backlash against Coke ignored the fact that there was initially more backlash against the backlashers than there was backlash against Coke?

Wasn't there a bunch of CPers who collectively made fun of someone's grammical error in the thread title and OP?

Surprised no one, especially from that lot, is taking a stance against this yet. Because you'd figure someone who has an issue with a non English native's use of the word "left", would have an issue with rearranging a song that used English lyrics
