Sabres have had one top 5 pick since 1988 (Thomas Vanek at #5 in 2003). They picked Pierre Turgeon at #1 in 1987. They aren't a team with a history of tanking... just suck this year.

Considering the way the Oilers fan base is turning on them... they'll do something this off-season to improve. It probably won't work.. but they'll do something.
