I agree with what pylon is saying, but this is a pretty poor time and place to voice it.

Glad he is safe. Whether you are 10, 20, 30 or 40, you should always feel comfortable and not ashamed to call your parents for any kind of help - whether its something you should have known how to handle or not.

Parents are unique in that they'll always be available for help without question regardless of your situation - A son's age never crosses a parents mind and never should.

In fact, he is lucky that his parents are there to attend his calls - some are not privileged enough to have anyone to call.
