Genie Bouchard is playing mixed doubles with Tomic. Interesting...

Mixed doubles is a glorified practice session for the top players. They must have discussed this during Hopman Cup and hey, let's sell a few tickets.

also Tomic knows he'll be gone tomorrow so he needs a reason to stick around

Day 1 of the Aussie Open begins tonight.

Pospisil v Groth (approx. 11:30 pm ET). That's being streamed live on TSN.CA.

Bouchard v Tang (approx 9:30 pm ET) This one will be on TSN.

Rafter is so mad about the state of Australia that as Davis Captain, he may select himself to play doubles!

Going to play doubles with Lleyton this week.

early reviews are that the courts are extremely fast

and it's very hot, will be 40 degrees all week.

Impressive job by Bouchard in the first set. She was down 3-5, but pushed hard and won 7-5 over Tang. Fingers crossed for the second.

nice clean wrap-up, taking care of business in the early rounds is a good habit for Genie to acquire. I think I saw a brief glimpse of her on court 15, via some ghetto hand held camera feed off to the side. hoping for that audience of 20 or so people to steadily swell to Rod Laver arena size a few matches from now...

good old Aussie open, the only grand slam we can watch entirely without having to skip work or stream at the office...you just have to set aside 50 bucks for your coffee budget during the two weeks.

get it done in straights like your buddies, Milos.
