BTW...only 9 seconds between goals.
Canucks trying to play like they have the skill to hold the lead.

Brookbank is been paired with Leddy in the 3rd...he had been playing #3RW...Rozival must be hurt, I haven't seen him for a while.

This Canucks Blackhawks game has been awesome. Lots of good passing, good saves and good skating.

Edler got away with a wicked 2-hander to Toews knee...

Kesler is such a joke, what an embarrassment to the game

Canucks lose 2-1. That's a shame.

I hate both of those teams, but both are pretty damn good teams.

Canucks have been playing well and outplaying teams on most nights, just not getting the bounces. They're kind of like the opposite of the Leafs, who seem to get outplayed on a nightly basis and somehow eek out wins.

Awesome, Nucks lose in regulation.

Hopefully San Jose hangs on, and LA/COL have a 3 pointer.

Good road win for my guys...Torts piled the minutes on his top line, I foresee them being completely gassed if he uses them that way all year.

CC had a superior game. He is NOT a flashy or athletic goalie...he is a big, pure positional guy, and he requires an active D to help him clear pucks in front...I am not sure how effective he would be on the bigger international surface, where the D can't collapse down so hard, with so much more ice to cover. It is interesting that he is being considered for the Olympic squad, but, I really doubt he makes the final roster for Canada.

Obviously Chicago is good but the Canucks are barely above average if you ask me.

Canucks are an average team in the west, but would probably be the best team in the east. Crazy how different the two conferences are.

Fwiw, Canucks are 8-3-2 against the east. They'd be leaders without a doubt.

With so many Canadian goalies playing well, I really don't know what they're going to do. Smith has 12 wins, Crawford 14. Holtby has remarkable stats considering the shots he's faced, Bernier, Harding, and Steve Mason, are playing well. Heck even Fleury has played himself in the mix. Luongo and Price are probably good bets for two of the spots but who knows.
The big panic about the state of Canadian goaltending over the summer now seems like a massive overreaction. Meanwhile the US might have to go with Miller and Thomas again.

canucks showing that they are exactly as advertised.

An aging team that doesn't have the speed and skill to play a skill game, but also don't have the big skilled power forwards to play a grinding game.

The shots nor the score was indicative of the play...Tortorella continues to preach aggressive D pinches which only work against mediocre teams. The Hawks don't panic and use the wall to get pucks out, they have head up and wingers find open space which turn into odd-man rushes.

The Hawks must have had double-digits 2-on-1s...incredible inefficiency that they only scored once on that play. They controlled this game from start to finish.

You mean Steve Mason, right?

And I think the Americans would probably go with Howard and Anderson over Thomas, assuming Quick is out.

Hmm, well that makes them 4-6-2 against the West so far.

If it was my decision right now, I would go with Harding. Guys numbers are superb, plus he would be pumped as the dark horse.

Anderson has not been very good this year.

Ryan Miller has to be in the conversation IMO. He has the experience, and he's putting up actually fairly decent numbers on a horrible team.

Also, Ben Bishop is lights out in TB this year. You'd think he'd get a camp invite at least, especially with Quick possibly hurt.

If I was picking the American goalies, I go with:

Miller
Schneider
Bishop

...if Quick is out.
