Like what I am seeing from Reto overall, but he's gotta learn to not overplay the puck when it's going side to side. He'll figure it out. Glad that Hartley did NOT listen to Bertuzzied and let Berra redeem himself.

Sven has also looked pretty good so far.

Icing because Brodie can't handle any of Winnipeg's forwards. We need more size on the backend.

It's a shame peoples expectations get in the way of a players development at times. Backlund has the potential to turn into one of the games elite defensive centres. That's not a sexy or exciting thing to say but it's a valuable position, that third line pivot spot.

Thanks. At work and using CP for the pbp, but there's no commentary!

Is it my TV, or do the Jets uniforms look bergundy from some angles?

It's the 4th line duty that mind bottles all of us. What can he possibly gain by playing with Jackman and McGratton?

Even though both teams have had chances this feels like a 1-0 game waiting to happen.

Yeah, I was hoping originally he would be a solid #2 guy who could put up some decent points, but maybe his offensive game isn't tailored for that. But he could be a great #3 center. His defensive game is pretty solid.

I like him but if he's going to be that elite 3rd line center he has to seriously work on his face-offs. Not nearly good enough to be that shutdown center.

Is there a trade that Sureloss didn't report or something? When did we get Voracek?

For sure, but that comes with experience, too. I think it was last game or the game before where they were saying on the broadcast that every player in the top 5 (or was it 10?) in faceoffs was 25 years or older, and the 25 year old was Toews.

Calgary's lucky Winnipeg can't finish... A lot of very close calls.
