As long as he is physically ready to play 82 games than I say keep him up. The rest is all there.

I'm for him staying but I hope Hartley lets him play through the inevitable struggles at some point in the season.

well, he played really good so far, but i´m not sure if wouldn´t be better for the long run to return him to juniors, but on the other side, what will he learn in ottawa?? so i guess he should/will stay....at least for now

Voted yes because he has simply been really good - as well as really mature, physically able, etc

However, I have to be honest, if he is sent down I wouldn't be upset and I don't think it would be a bad thing (but that's irrelevant because he won't be)

If there was an option to send him to the AHL, I'd be for that, but there's very little left for him to learn in the CHL. I think that sending him back down, to a team going even further nowhere than the Flames are projected to end up, can only demotivate him. Yeah, he'll rack up 100 points down there, but what's the point.

As others have said, send him to the WJC, give him the Olympic break, and if he starts to wear down a bit mid-season, give him a few nights in the pressbox. I think that taking the attitude of not "wasting" a year of the ELC would prove counterproductive to the eventual goal of signing him here long-term.

Doesn't it seem smarter to say "You have a bright future, we want you to be part of this organization in the long run", rather than giving the appearance of trying to extend his time here as long as possible, because the team thinks he will bolt at the first chance?

He should go back down.
Last night he got 0 goals, 0 assists, 0 points.
He's just a flash in the pan.

Send the bum back to Jr.
