So Lawrie is back at 3rd today and Bonifacio is playing 2B.

I just fail to see the rationale of putting Lawrie at 2B to begin with.

EDIT: My mistake it's Izturis on 2B.

I do too. Lawrie has a good arm, and much better suited for third.

My plan worked. I will say compared to Brett's first at bats at the beginning of the season he is looking a lot more patient at the plate. He is taking pitches low and away when at the beginning of the season he was swinging at essential everything.

I'm at the game. There was great energy in the stadium until Rasmus completely botched that play. Brutal.

I don't even know anymore. One strike away from winning the ballgame and that happens.

Think Gibbons goes after that three-game meltdown in the Dodgers series? A 4-14 stretch and riding 7-straight losses. SportsNet had the camera on the Jays dugout for a solid 20-seconds. And you couldn't help but notice that not once did anyone on that bench so much as say a single word to anyone else on the bench. Then they cut to a shot of Gibbons sitting there, arms crossed, chewing gum (evidently to remain awake), completely isolated and staring into space. Meanwhile, Mattingly is over in the Dodgers dugout carrying on a full-time conversation with Hillman (the bench coach). Gibbons is simply not managing games. He's attending them, sure. This team is utterly lifeless.

This team needs Mike Keenan to put some life into it.

F this team, and F Gibbons. Never liked his laid back approach. Get involved you jerk! It's your job!
