Agreed. I didnt know you could move either. Now that I do, it appeals less. Too much work involved suddenly.

i kind of like making quick guesses and seeing how close i can get off the bat.
but then you end up on a dirt road in finland, and you really dont have much to go on... excellent game.

I have discovered Austrailian road signs get the best of me right now, and I keep missing All the Australian and African ones by a long shot.

Hmm, this game is a lot easier if you zoom in on the map. Well, easier to get a higher score.

I think cruising around is fine, but googling stuff is definitely cheating. Whats the point then? If you don't get a bizzilion points you're an idiot.

If you want, but using a computer makes it way too easy. I like looking at some mountains and seeing how they're worn down and remembering which mountain chains are old and stuff like that.

Yeah got that one too, I'd even managed to find a place on the main islands of Japan that had the same name, I thought I'd be within 50km!

This is a really neat game. What's your highest score WITHOUT googling the signs?
With using google to help, I got 27548

Not related to this game specifically, but I do waste countless hours trying to find landmarks (on Google Earth) of things I stumble upon in my Internet travels (reddit)...
Just came across this recently, in one of the deserts of Africa...
Which brings me to another point, how f'in awesome is google earth? Even after all of these years?!

You got 11668 points
You got 15071 points (got very close to a town in Austrian alps, and a rest stop in Australia where there was a map showing where it was)

I did?
Closest guess for me was 0.2 km. Farthest was across the world. I didn't know they had pine trees in Sweden! I thought IKEA imported them!

11,576 on my first try . . . . . don't have time to waste at the moment but I can see this is going to be a heckuva "I-Pad On The Couch During Hockey Season" kind of thing.
Very interesting.
I didn't google anything. Cheating!!! Just looking for visual clues and language on the signs, etc.

15k and 3/5 places were from Australia. Fun game as you try to figure out local signs, which side the cars drive on the road, etc.
Edit: ew look what I found.

I still haven't broken 10,000. I'm not really zooming in to select a location though unless I absolutely know where it is. No googling anything either.
