I think it goes for anyone on here that if you need help, there are a lot of people that will step up to the plate. I don't think anyone on here wants to see harm to come to anyone. I wish you all the best HBAV.

Well dome AMG! That was an incredibly kind thing that you did. The same goes to KG and others who did their best to help. It's nice to know we have a group of people here who care and want to help those in need.

My faith in humaity has been restored.

I have told my father what is going on (didn't tell him about the seriousness of my sunday episode, he's driving back from Vancouver right now) and he told me I need to make sure I follow the advice of the CMHA when they contact me back. He has also said that on Monday he can drive me anywhere I need to go and he of course is freaking out about my weight loss. It clicked in finally for him that it isn't exercise.

I need to get my life back.
If you find yourself needing food again soon, just let me know, I will do your next grocery run.

And when you get the help you need and the time is right, I will get you work.

I just have to echo the sentiments of how proud I am of this place.

It's nice to know that even with all the petty bickering over draft picks, teams, trades and whatnot, that this place is a real community and full of decent, honest folks who are willing to help each other out when the chips are down.

I'd be lying if I said I expected to have an outpouring of support thrown my way. I was fearing a total mess. It does make this place more real in a way.. more human. Not just words on a screen.

And flameswin, thank you and anyone else I did not thank already.

While waiting for CMHA to contact me back.. I've already been contacted by Catholic Family Services. Cordelle told me to call the intake line tomorrow and give more details so they can offer me someone to talk with.

Compared to the tailspin of despair and pain I was in earlier today.. I'm feeling hopeful. Can't get ahead of myself. Gotta go through with help. And I will.

Thanks for showing me love in a dark time. All of you.. it's something that makes a difference, that feeling of being completely alone can almost be worse than depression/anxiety itself.

Close your eyes and say my name and I'll take you far away. To a place where you and I can be.. without everyone to say, na na na na na na.. and I'll take you far away.

I just fought a bout of depression as well, it truly is a rough ride. Great to see the support on here, I had much help in Victoria where I was previous, and it was of great assistance.

As many others said, I'm definitely here via PM, or if there is anything I can do to chip in (ie. food, etc) Me, among others are happy to help.

All the best.

HBAV, I know where you are coming from. If you need ANYTHING let me know. Someone to have a coffee with. Someone to tell you horribly self deprecating life stories, or someone to just listen.... I am with everyone here and willing lend a hand. It takes a lot of courage to reach out and ask for help, and you have taken the first step. Good for you.

I am not a professional by any means. But I have been so deep in the pit of depression, there was no physical pain I wouldn't have substituted to make it go away. Listen to me, and listen well. IT CAN ONLY GET BETTER. And it will. As long as you are willing to accept the help of professionals and loved ones.

I have my ups and downs, and my moments. Just tonight something I heard reminded me of someone I recently lost. Someone I greatly missed. Instead of holding it in, and suffering in silence, I picked up the phone, and called my mother. A 38 year old man, sobbing on the phone with his 'mommy.' But it was a hell of a lot better than sitting in a dark room, and being angry like I have for the last year of my life.

There are so many people willing to give you support here, what does that tell you? You matter, and people care. Also, this....

Always makes me smile. No matter what.
