The optics of a team in Vegas I would think is the main reason behind no leagues having a major presence there.

Especially the NHL and nba, who have notorious reputations for gambling by their players.

Keep an eye on Anaheim. Especially if their building gets an NBA team.

This makes more sense considering some stadiums have poor max capacities. Winnipeg is at 99.9% capacity but can only hold 15k so they will never be on the top of the list if it is sorted purely by number of people.

Showing the list correctly we have

So the Rags, St. Louis and Anaheim are all low despite having pretty good teams.

Vegas would be my automatic 2nd favorite team if it happened.

Any excuse to go down there a couple more times a year is welcome.

Capacity of MSG is 17,200. More suites were put in during the recent renovations, and that lowered the seating capacity.

Wow look at Nashville. Only a few years ago everyone was saying it was only a matter of time before they moved, and now they've become a poster boy of success like the Dallas Stars without even winning the Stanley Cup.

The only way Vegas gets a team is if every other viable market already has one, since it's the only place where local fan support is worse than Phoenix. The league doesn't want a team that has no fans and fills seats with drive-by tourists. Revenue-wise Vegas will definitely work but given the above plus the non-wholesome optics of Sin City, I don't see the big 4 sports touching Vegas with a 10-ft pole.
