As someone pointed out on Reddit, this is 20% of the US GDP. There is no way they are going to be able to actually raise this $3 trillion by simply getting rid of 'loopholes'.

In Canada, it turns out that Paul Martin's family has the Great lakes fleet registered in Canada. It is CSL's internation division that owns or operates vessels under other flags (CSL international also operates vessels on lease : foriegn ships with foriegn crews)
