I picked this game up but have yet to crack it open - I'm playing through Borderlands 1 for the first and have to say, this game rules and it has held up really well for being like 3 years old already. Looking forward to getting into 2 once I finish 1!

if you don't have them yet, i highly recommend getting the General Knoxx and Claptrap Revolution DLC packs. the ending to vanilla Borderlands is a little on the lame side, but those help make up for that

Lol the AI side-quest was fun, and
Overall the game is fun and funny, I haven't remembered the last time I was this amused playing a game. The stuff the guys say when they die cracks me up every time.

i have to say, the Goliath may be one of my all time favorite FPS enemies. taking the helmets off 3 or 4 of them and watching a battle royale unfold is so awesome

Found a shotgun later in the game its like 303X14. Insane gun. I love this game so much, can't wait to open the gold chest in sanctuary.

I waste one of two golden keys by running through Sanctuary, randomly opening things. 
Oh well, at least I'm still using one of the pistols 6 levels later.

Overall a pretty awsome game, my only complaint is the nvidia card framerate dive every once in a while. I can run games like Max Payne 3 and the Witcher 2 on nearly max settings but this game which is much less demanding has serious issues, still a very fun game though.

Really? I am running a GTX 670 with max PhysX and no problems. Maybe try lowering that setting because it's a resource hog.

There is a chest in the middle of Sanctuary that can only be opened with a golden key. It gives you 2 purple weapons based on whatever level you are.

not always weapons, i used my first key on it by accident and ended up with 2 low level purple shields (which i upgraded only a few levels later). such a mistake

Ah ok. I did the same but got an Assualt Riffle and SMG. Ditched the AR at lvl 17 and I still have the SMG for now.
